Tis the season! Culturally, so many holidays and traditions happen in the winter, and all focus on LIGHT. The weather, though, calls for a cocoon of coziness. I’m sharing ideas that are practical, generally affordable, and hopefully delight you or a loved one. Plus, don’t miss the seasonal sales going on this week.
Cozy Gift Guide
- Accessories: So lovely to receive winter accessories, especially in a fun color. Consider hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, slippers, fuzzy seasonal socks, and anything that warms (hot hands, electric vests, gloves and socks). Even a plug-in seat warmer for the car could make someone’s season.

- Hygge at Home. The Scandinavian concept of savoring the season via cozy textures and time with loved ones is called “hygge” (WHO-ga). Think about channeling light in the dark days of winter. Candles, blankets, pillows, hot beverages

Make a silent reading night in front of the fire (or locally at the Sorrento). Gift a winter book or bookclub to friends. Start with the most popular books of 2024.

Etsy offers so many interesting and personalized, artistic gifts. As do many museum gift shops.
